about:

With countless acts aiming towards a well-defined uniform and writing songs to a dated formula, Byron Joseph, the main proprietor of “Android Noise Party”, has ventured outside of the well-beaten path and has taken the road less traveled. Unique yet palatable, this piece of work is an intrepid reflection of a world stripped of its facade and gazed upon with wonder and disillusion. ---
The music itself is more often than not vibrant and emotive, then again can also be vague, soft and haunting. It is forward yet always continues to maintain a level of intrigue to its character. Full of analog synthesizers and progressive arrangements, the sound is abundantly rich and alive. ---
At the foundation is structured an eclectic blend of electric guitar and bass neighboring along side layers of synthesized harmony. Adding diversity to the arrangement lays an entrancing use of delays, loops and samples. The vocal, weathered and raspy at times and at others vague and elusive, is the most expressive element that the project has at its disposal. Accompanied by a barrage of infectious rhythm brought forth by vintage drum modules, it makes for an insatiable and addictive sound that promotes a truly exclusive vibe. ---
Surrounding the solid underpinning, lays a deluge of scattered subject matter reflecting the questionable state of the artist. It is vastly unclear if the lyrics are intended to be poignant social commentary and dynamic metaphor or just a dwindling relation with the world at hand. At any rate the content is purely captivating. ---
The concept has found a place somewhat in the tradition of acts ranging from The Cure and Kraftwerk to Radiohead and Beck being that it is free of the standard guidelines that other artists all too often attempt to conform to. An array of stylistic influence is heard as well such as elements of rock and trip-hop to derivatives of blues and folk that stand out from the obvious indie/electronic genre. Thus, as a whole, the project completely possesses its own sound and identity and is indeed its own entity. ---
This whole notion began as an ingenious idea that would permit a rare musical liberty and release. Talk and conceptualizing for “ANP” began in an extremely desolate area in northeast Utah, where it was possible to become so seemingly detached from the confines of social normality, such as the music suggests. But the project has relocated and has currently found residence in Salt Lake City, Utah where front man Byron Joseph has spent long hours and countless nights sculpting these ideas into fanciful songs and the bewildering atmosphere that they provide. Given the fresh and authentic palate his audience so desires, Byron plans to hold to the intrinsic core of the music with simple beats and deep electronic melodies topped with an increasingly distant and audacious lyric undertone. ---
Now promoting the first studio releases it is obvious that this project conveys a presence on record, in person and across the web. And equipped with steep conjecture Byron Joseph sets forth with the concept that is Android Noise Party-
